Sudden death of young Crime Patrol actor, atmosphere of mourning in Indian industry

According to Indian media reports, 35-year-old actor Nitin Chauhan was the winner of the second season of the reality show ‘Dadagiri’, famous for acting in ‘MTV Splits Villa’ and ‘Crime Patrol’.

The report states that the actor was found dead in his flat in Mumbai, but an investigation is underway to find out the cause of his death.

According to initial information, the Mumbai police have classified the incident as a case of suicide. It has been reported that the actor was undergoing treatment for depression, Nitin’s wife told the police in her statement that he was not getting any work for the last three to four years, due to which he was suffering from severe mental stress.

Hearing the news of Nitin Chauhan’s death, his friends and colleagues expressed their sorrow and condolences on social media.

Vibhuti Thakur wrote on Instagram with a black and white picture, ‘My dear, rest in peace (RIP), I am truly shocked and saddened, I wish you had the strength to face all difficulties, I wish you were mentally strong like your body’. TV actor Sudeep Sahir also shared a picture of Nitin on Instagram Story and wrote, ‘Rest in peace (RIP), friend’.

Vibhuti and Sudeep had worked with Nitin in ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’, Nitin was last seen in the same drama in 2022 after which he disappeared from the screen.

It may be recalled that Nitin belongs to Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He got his first breakthrough in the TV industry in 2009 by winning the reality show ‘Dadagiri 2’.

Nitin gained fame by working in other shows like ‘Zindagi.com’ and ‘Crime Patrol’, including the fifth season of ‘MTV Splitz Villa’. The actor’s Instagram account shows that he was a fitness enthusiast.
